The BT1 is made to be a direct retrofit for G&L basses that use the traditional (stamped not molded) tuning key. Older model guitars use the short key version of the tuning machine while contemporary basses use a regular length key.
We also offer the HB1 which is a direct retrofit tuning machine for this type of bass.
