The Hipshot A style, D style, Supertone, Solo, Rickenbacker® Replacement, and Kickass bass bridges have fine string spacing adjustment which enables one to dial the strings right on top of the pickup pole-pieces.
How to Adjust String Spacing bridges equipped with the A style saddle:
- Locate "the 3rd screw" on saddle:
- Loosen with 1/16" hex Allen wrench.
- Push or pull string laterally to desired location.
- Tighten the 3rd screw with medium pressure. Over tightening will cause the barrel to squeeze out of position.
How to Adjust String Spacing on Kickass Bridges:
- Locate Insert locking screw on saddle:
- Loosen with .050" hex Allen wrench.
- Push or pull string laterally to desired location.
- Tighten the locking screw with medium pressure.
