As long as you are replacing the same body housing type, you can go from non locking to locking and vice versa with no drilling or UMP plates on your guitar.
So for example, a classic open (pictured right) can be replaced with a Grip-Lock open (pictured left) because they are the same mounting pattern.
Additionally, a Classic Closed (pictured Left) can be replaced with a Grip-Lock Closed (pictured right)
